Software Purchasing & Tracking...
The District has policies and regulations in place for the purchasing and tracking of computer software. Please review these policies prior to purchasing software. Also please keep in mind that all software must be approved by the Curriculum Department prior to a purchase request being put online in IFAS. Failure to obtain approval will result in installation delays.
All software purchased for District use
MUST follow policy and procedure. Only Technology Staff will be allowed to install software on District owned machines. All software must be received by Kim LeDoux in the Technology Department for recording of the license and compliance with copyright laws prior to installation on District owned machines.
Software not recorded with Kim will be considered illegal and will be removed unless proof of purchase and registration is provided by the site. The Technology department conducts random audits of District owned machines. Software not recorded will be considered illegal.
Donated and privately purchased software are not recommended. If an employee purchases software to be used on District machines they run the risk of denial and therefore incurring expenses that the District will not reimburse them for.
