“Music is about communication, creativity, and cooperation, and by studying music in schools, students have the opportunity to build on these skills, enrich their lives, and experience the world from a new perspective.” – Bill Clinton, Former President of the United States The Duluth East High School Orchestra came all the way from Minnesota to hear the Chicago Symphony play on a field trip. In an effort to promote their love of music and the arts, they departed their bus and played two impromptu recitals at two locations on State street in Chicago, before they headed home. They were much appreciated by the crowds of walkers along State street on a perfect spring day. | Al Podgorski~Chicago Sun-Times More information on the trip at http://www.suntimes.com/photos/19938259-455/duluth-east-hs-performs-impromtu-concert-on-state-street.html
