Merritt Creek Academy works in cooperation with Northwood Children's Services to provide education and behavioral treatment to students in grades 1 through 12. Students must be clients of a Northwood's facility to attend Merritt Creek Academy.

Merritt Creek Academy has small class size, comprised of both Special Education and Regular Education Students.

Students in all grades also have access to Title One services.
